"What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace." ~Agnes M. Pahro

Who can resist one or more poinsettia plants placed throughout the home at this time of year. They put festivity in our hearts and a smile on our face.
While considered by the ancient Aztecs to be symbols of purity, in today's language of flowers, red, white and pink poinsettias all symbolize good cheer and success. This Decembers flower is said to bring laughter and joy to all celebrations this month.
Also known as the Christmas Star and Christmas Flower, it's said that this winter flower's association comes from a Mexican legend. A child with no means for a grander gift gathered humble weeds from the side of the road to place at the church alter on Christmas Eve. The weeds turned into the brilliant red and green flowers known today as poinsettias, December's flower.
Wishing you "Season's Greetings" this December and all through the holiday season.
